On March 14, 2025, Dr. Shigeo Okabe, Vice President, Professor, Graduate School of Medicine, and Affiliated Faculty, WPI-IRCN, The University of Tokyo received the Japan Academy Prize, which is bestowed upon academic scholars who have achieved notable research landmarks and authored particularly outstanding academic papers or books.
