{"id":8646,"date":"2018-11-14T10:53:31","date_gmt":"2018-11-14T01:53:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ircn.jp\/?p=8646"},"modified":"2024-01-29T11:45:45","modified_gmt":"2024-01-29T02:45:45","slug":"032124-19-neuro-inspired-computation-course-university-of-tokyo-japan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ircn.jp\/en\/events\/032124-19-neuro-inspired-computation-course-university-of-tokyo-japan","title":{"rendered":"March 21-24, 2019: Neuro-inspired Computation Course University of Tokyo, Japan"},"content":{"rendered":"<!--handmade-->\r\n\r\nThe International Research Center for Neurointelligence (IRCN) was launched in 2017 to advance scientific progress at the boundary of neuroscience, computation, and artificial intelligence (AI) at The University of Tokyo. <\/br><\/br>\r\nThe First IRCN Course in Neuro-Inspired Computation is designed for international researchers from diverse fields and backgrounds at the graduate student and postdoctoral career stages to learn about the latest advances in computational modeling of the brain and its use in developing new AI strategies and applications. The course is part of the interdisciplinary research activities of the center and students will have an opportunity to contribute to the generation of new synergistic collaborations and the establishment of the research field of \u201cNeurointelligence\u201d in science and society. <\/br><\/br>\r\nThe course will be held from <strong>March 21-24, 2019<\/strong> at The University of Tokyo, and tuition, international airfare, and accommodation will be covered for accepted applicants.<\/br><\/br>\r\nWe welcome applications from early career researchers, including diversity in gender, who wish to build their knowledge base and plan a career in the frontier area of neural computation, widely considered the foundation for an understanding of brain and machine
