This visit was conducted under the school\u2019s \u201cvisiting lecture\u201d program, aimed at deepening students\u2019 understanding of life sciences through direct engagement with researchers.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">\u3000The theme of Dr. Kuroda\u2019s lecture was \u201cObserving Life, Understanding Life.\u201d By comparing illustrations commonly found in textbooks with actual microscopy images of tissues and cellular structures, he explained the importance of biological observation and the diverse perspectives to understand living systems. His talk provided students with an accessible introduction to how researchers capture and interpret complex biological phenomena.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">\u3000Microscopy is an area where students do not often have the opportunity to explore in depth during regular classes, yet the participants showed strong interest in the diverse imaging techniques and cellular\/tissue images introduced by Dr. Kuroda. Following the lecture, students posed several advanced and thoughtful questions, such as inquiries about imaging principles and resolution of microscopy, and how cellular structures are visualized, leading to an active exchange between the students and Dr. Kuroda.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">\u3000Through this visiting lecture, students gained valuable exposure to the depth of life sciences and the perspectives and methodologies used in modern biological research.
