Together, we will probe underlying principles of neural circuit development and explore the etiology of brain disorders. Based on this knowledge, we strive to create innovative artificial intelligence (AI) and to ultimately approach the key question, \u201cHow does human intelligence arise?\u201d by blending developmental neuroscience with novel AI perspectives.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Our research enterprise will fuse a wide range of academic disciplines, including life sciences, medicine, humanities, social, mathematical, and information sciences, to create a new field of \u201cneurointelligence\u201d. IRCN is also functioning as a research hub in collaboration with overseas institutions, such as Boston Children\u2019s Hospital by offering cutting-edge technology and an international environment to researchers from around the world. Launched as a prestigious government-funded World Premier International (WPI) center, we now aspire to become a permanent Institute in service to society more broadly.
