The Data Science Core processes and stores data on brain structure and function and uses statistical analyses and mathematical modelling to derive fundamental properties.

The core is designed to promote the interaction between numerical and empirical experiments. Data analysis is conducted with MATLAB software using data collected from the Imaging Core and other laboratories with the aim of extracting fundamental properties of the brain.  Also the core conducts studies on the development of novel data analysis methods to model experimental data as physiological and computations methods evolve.
